As we return to economic normality after the pandemic companies are starting to function and we expect to see recruitment start up again.However, some companies have more working from home than before the pandemic and this may reduce some recruitment.
Use this time to make the best CV or online application that you can. Apply to lots of vacancies are you should think that these are job vacancies with often only one or two openings.
It is best to plan a back up just in case you cannot get the apprenticeship you want.
Your options are:
Sixth form or college if you are 16-18.
A different apprenticeship.
If you are 18 a gap year / a job for a year / college will have level 4 course which are a good alternative.
You can ask for a careers interview in school.
